意义再生视角下中国古诗英译探析

An Exploratory Analysis of the Translation of Chinese Classical Poetry from the View of Rebirth of Meaning

翻译活动不是确定的,唯一的,而是包含众多因素的动态过程。它并不仅仅是把两种语言相互转换,更是两种文化之间的转换。意义是在语言的交流中产生的,作为跨语言交流的主要工具,翻译即是对意义的再创造,其最终目的是意义再生。译者在翻译活动中应遵守意义再生的三点原则以实现更好的翻译。

Translation activities are not determinate or unique,but a dynamic process including many kinds of factors. It is not only the transfer of two languages,but the transfer between two cultures. Meaning cannot be detached from the process of language communication. As a major tool for cross- language communication,translation is the recreation of meaning,and its ultimate aim of translation is the rebirth of meaning. Translators should follow these three principles of the rebirth of meaning when translating to accomplish better translation.
