Yan Lianke's The Last Memory of Beijing( also as The Park 711) draws from Thoreau's Walden in the aesthetic construction but shows different perspectives both biologically and culturally. However, the two texts have something in common for their similarities in bioregional creation. Those differences and similarities reveal the interaction and integration in aesthetic purport between the western and Chinese literature. Dialogues between different cultures and inheritance from the local culture under the guide of bioregionalism will contribute to the local biological discourse construction as well as the sustainable development of the biosphere.
