An Equation for Calculating Walking Energy Expenditure of Male College Students

摘要 目的:探讨徒步运动中能量消耗的简易推测方法,为大学生运动能量消耗的自我监控和科学健身提供参考。方法:选取北京体育大学学科男性大学生54名(21.12±1.28岁),运动前测身高、体重并计算BMI。受试者分别以4.8 km/h、6.4 km/h、8.1 km/h的步速于跑台上进行运动,每级步速各运动30分钟。Polar表记录运动中心率,每3分钟记录1次。运动过程采用Meta Lyzer 3B气体代谢分析仪收集受试者肺功能指标及能量消耗数据。所得数据通过SPSS19.0软件进行偏相关分析及多元回归建立能量消耗与身体参数的回归方程。最后将预测值与实测值用配对t检验进行比较,检验公式。结果:(1)30分钟徒步运动每分能耗与步速、心率存在非常显著的关联(P<0.01),与BMI、身高、体重存在显著关联(P<0.05);(2)每分能耗(kcal/min)与步速、BMI、心率、体重的回归方程:每分能耗=-8.453+1.030×步速-0.023×BMI+0.032×心率+0.080×体重;(3)各步速能耗推测值与实际值无显著性差异(P4.8=0.255,P6.4=0.470,P8.1=0.353)。结论 :得出的能量推算公式可以步速、BMI、心率及体重4个简易指标较为准确地推算出普通男性大学生步速为4.8 km/h、6.4km/h、8.1 km/h下运动的能量消耗。 Objective To establish a simple and easy method for calculating walking energy expenditure in college students. Method 54 male college students (aged 21.12 ± 1.28 years)participated in this study. Their body height,weight and BMI were determined before the exercise. The participants performed three 30-minute treadmill exercises at the speeds of 4.8km/h,6.gkm/h and 8.1km/h with an interval of 24 hours. Their heart rates during exercise were measured by Polar watch. The pulmonary function and energy expenditure were instantly recorded by MetaLyzer 3B metabolic gas analyzer. SPSS (19.0)software was used for data analysis. Results (1)The energy expenditure per minute was correlated closely with the pace movement (P〈0.01), steady-state heart rate,BMI,body height,and body weight (P〈0.05). (2)The regression equation of energy expenditure per minute was :kcal/min = -8.491 + 1.030 ×step speed - 0.023 ×BMI + 0.032 ×HR + 0.080 × weight (R=0.966,R2=0.933,P=0.000). (3)There was no significant difference between the actual value of energy expenditure determined by metabolic gas analyzer and the value of energy expenditure estimated from the equation(P4.8=0.255 ,P6.4=0.470,P8.1=0.353). Conclusions The equation introduced in this study can predict the walking energy expenditure of college students successfully.
