法国作家小仲马创作的《茶花女》成功塑造了玛格丽特这个世界文学画廊中闪耀夺目的上流社会妓女形象,其悲剧的命运也成为评论者关注的焦点。本文运用马斯洛需要层次理论进行解读,重点分析女主人公命运发展的心理历程:玛格丽特为满足生理和安全需要而不幸落入风尘,因归属与爱的需要而热烈追寻真爱,最后在强烈的自尊需要推动下选择牺牲涅槃,终于获得崇高的尊严,完成了从"下贱"妓女到"高尚"茶花女的华丽蜕变。

The French writer Alexandre Dumas Jr＇ s The Lady of the Camettias has successfully created a cnaracter, Margaret, an upper class prostitutes in the world literature history. Margaret＇ s tragic fate has also attracted attentions of many critics. This paper uses Maslow＇s hierarchy of needs to analyze the heroine＇ s psychological process along with development of her fate： in order to meet physiological and safety needs, Margaret unwillingly became a prostitute. She pursued ardently true love due to the needs of belongingness and love. She finally chose to sacrifice herself in a strong sense of self- esteem. At the end, the heroine gained dignity, transforming from a＂ cheap＂ prostitute to a ＂noble＂ Camellias Lady.
