摘要
本研究旨在考察词块教学法在我国大学英语口语教学中的实施效果。研究受试为166名大学一年级非英语专业学生,被分为实验组(80人)和对照组(86人)。经过15周的教学实验后,对比分析两组受试在词块频次、准确性和多样性、口语流利性及口语成绩上的异同,发现运用词块法不仅有利于学生词块知识的积累,而且能够提高流利度,并在一定程度上促进英语口语水平。本研究结果对二语词块习得和英语口语教学均有启示意义。
This paper aims to investigate the effectiveness of applying lexical approach to oral English instruction for non-English majors in China. Participants in the study were 166 freshmen who were further divided into two groups, namely the experimental group(80) and the control group(86). The former group was administered a special treatment on chunk learning while the latter received the same amount of traditional instruction. A comparison was made in terms of chunk knowledge, oral fluency and oral proficiency.The results indicate that the experimental group significantly outperformed their counterparts in chunk accuracy and variety, speaking more fluently and scoring a little higher. The findings contain some pedagogical implications for second language chunk acquisition and oral instruction.
