English translation of security marking language is the window of internationalization of a city. The misinterpretation of the translation context results in the improper translation of security marking language in Wenzhou. To improve the city＇s image, an analysis was made on the cause of the improper translation by applying Theory of Adaptation and Selection and then correction was made. To regulate the translation of marking language, it is important to establish a favorable translational eco-environment by strengthening the training of translators and reinforcing the exterior management.
