Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a wealth of health theory, so that the dietotherapy of TCM can keep human in good health. Also, TCM is the main raw material for characteristic health food because of its rich health function, including prevention and heahhcare, nourishing health, anti-aging, heahhcare treatment and so on. It has characteristics of leading traditional function, significant modern features and potential health food features. The researches on the reliability, advantages and potential of health function of TCM are the key to develop healthy food. It also provides a new method to display the advantages of health food, and promotes better service to human health, expanding the health food market and promoting the rapid development of TCM health food.
