切实保障律师知情权。知情权是律师开展执业活动的基本权利。《规定》对保障律师知情权作了更加系统的规定。公安机关应当按照《规定》要求，依法及时告知辩护律师犯罪嫌疑人涉嫌的罪名及当时已查明的主要事实，采取、变更、解除强制措施，延长侦查羁押期限，移送审查起诉等情况，保障律师及时了解案件进展情况，为开展执业活动提供条件。
The right to know facts of the case by lawyers must be safeguarded and it is the basic right of lawyers to practice law. The Regulation prescribes more systematic rules on the right. The Public Security authority by The Regulation should inform defense lawyers of charges and the then verified evidence on the criminal suspects, iacluding taking, altering and lifting mandatory measures, extending investigation and detention, as well as transferring the suspect＇s custody location, examining evidence and filing lawsuits in accordance with law, so that lawyers are able to learn the latest facts of the case and practice law on the basis of that.
