Analysis of toxic and hazardous chemicals risk in crocs shoes

研究了我国洞洞鞋产品可能存在的有毒有害物质(邻苯二甲酸酯、重金属和多环芳烃)及其危害,总结了国内外对洞洞鞋及相关产品中有毒有害物质的限量要求。采用傅里叶衰减全反射红外光谱(ATR-FTIR)分析鉴别得出,市面上洞洞鞋主要材质有乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯共聚物(EVA)、聚氯乙烯(PVC)和聚乙烯(PE)。依据标准方法,按照不同材质,进一步检测洞洞鞋产品中有毒有害物质含量分析有毒有害物质风险的来源,结果表明,我国市面上的洞洞鞋产品存在较严重的安全风险,尤其是PVC材质的洞洞鞋。最后,针对洞洞鞋的安全风险,提出了几点建议。

The possible toxic and hazardous chemicals （ phthalate esters, heavy metal and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons） in the crocs shoes products of Chinese market and their hazards were studied. The domestic and foreign limited requirements on crocs shoes and related products were also summarized. Fourier transform attenuated total reflection infrared spectrometry （ ATR - FTIR） was used to analyze the crocs shoes and the results show that three kinds of typical materials of the crocs shoes on the mar- ket are ethylene - vinyl acetate copolymer （ EVA）, polyvinyl chloride （PVC） and polyethylene （PE）. The contents of toxic and hazardous chemicals in the crocs shoes were further detected according to the standard methods, the sources of the toxic and haz- ardous chemicals risks were analyzed according to different materials. The results show that the crocs shoes on the market have se- rious security risks, especially made by PVC material. Some suggestions to the security risks for manufacturing as well as the standard revision of the crocs shoes were proposed.
