摘要
作者对1002例围产儿和儿童尸检的胸腺进行了研究,发现最突出的病理学改变是胸腺皮质淋巴细胞减少和网状上皮细胞肿胀或梭形变,雨淋巴细胞的凋谢则以髓质显著。所有改变在28天组明显加重,以后或继续加重,或逐渐减轻。此外,还首次观察到了皮质的空泡化。
The most outstanding pathological changesof perinatal babies and children, based onthe review of the autopsy files in the 1stAffiliated Hospital of West China Universi-ty of Medical Sciences, are lymphocytic de-pletion, and reticuloepithelial cell swellingand/or fusiform malformation in the cortex;while in the medulla apoptosis is more pro-minent. We suppose that these alterationsare due to immaturity of cortical thymocy-tes, and in the diseased condition, they areeasily affected by extraordinary factors, es-pecially the influence of corticosterone in-ducing acute severe necrosis, so the numberof lymphocytes are obviously diminished.But, in the medulla, as intact mature lym-phocytes exist, physiological phenomenonsuch as apoptosis is rather prominent in it.While in the medulla, Hassall's corpuscleshave various characteristic changes, such ascornification, calcification, fusion, cysticchange and disintegration. Besides, we ob-served a new alteration in the thymus de-fined as vacuolization. All the above pathological changes reachedthe peak in the 28- day group, there after,they might become either worse or betteraccording to the condition of the disease andgrowth of the body. However, these are stillproblems to be further studied separately.
