老干部是老年群体中极其重要和特殊的部分,摸清他们的思想政治状况,认真做好其思想政治工作,对于巩固党的执政基础和执政地位,具有十分重要的意义。当前,离退休干部思想政治工作面临许多新的挑战,诸如老干部社会角色的转变给思想政治工作的组织管理带来的挑战,老同志的政治经验与威望优势对教育主体提出的更高要求,信息传播渠道的多元对思想政治工作提出的新要求,等等。做好新时期老干部思想政治工作必须强调全面创新,要特别注重思路创新、内容创新和方式方法创新。

Veteran Cadres are very important and specialpart of the aged people. It is of great significance to know about their ideological situation and do their ideological work well towards the ruling foundation and ruling status of the Party. Now ideological and political work of the retired veteran cadres are facing many new challenges,such as higher requirements to educators because of political experience and prestige of the veteran cadres,new requirements to ideological political work in the context of diversified information communication channels,etc. Therefore,it is necessary to have complete innovation and pay special attention to innovative way of thinking,innovative content,and innovative method to achieve good results in ideological work of veteran cadres at the new period.
