摘要
马衔,俗称"马嚼子",又称勒,金文作"鋚勒",是横勒在马口中的器具,两端与镳相接。许慎的《说文解字》中说道:"衔,马勒口中……行马者也。"总之,马衔通常被人认为是一种放在马嘴之中的用来驾驭马的器具。马衔的出现年代应该很早,有可能是伴随着人类开始对马的驯化而使用的。
This paper analyzes the popular date and area characteristics of the metal bridles of Pre-Qin pe- riod in North China.Based on typological study of them,and compared with the materials from cen- tral plain,Xinjiang and Eruasia steppe out of the North China,this article tries to explore the ori- gins of these bridles.
