Contemporary Reflections on Chinese Classical Dance under the Background of Globalization

中国古典舞从发生之时就处于一种全球化的互通交流中,'身份'问题越发被重视,使古典舞学者们不断思考自己安身立命之所在,认识到在对不同文化的尊重、理解和包容的基础上,凸显文化个性与文化创新的重要性。文章通过梳理全球化背景下中国古典舞发生与发展的历程,廓清发生在这个领域中的'传统——当代'之争的实质。特殊的成长背景和环境因素让中国古典舞的生态呈现出独有的发展路径和特有的文化内涵。同时,也需要看到今天的中国古典舞正处于多种风格并存的状态,每种风格都扎根于中国优秀传统文化与历史长河中的不同层面并具有不同个性的表达方式。因此,不只是受到全球化的影响,我们还需反思的是在这种内外兼有的双重刺激下,中国古典舞如何保持其鲜明的主体性,如何回归文化母体,立足传统而进行当代表达。

Chinese classical dance has been involved in the global exchange and communication since its inception.People pay more and more attention to the issue of its'identity',which makes scholars of Chinese classical dance constantly think about where they can settle down and realize the importance of highlighting cultural individuality and cultural innovation based on the mutual respect,understanding and tolerance for different cultures.This paper tries to sort out the development of Chinese classical dance under the background of globalization,aiming to elucidate the essence of the'tradition-contemporary'dispute in this field.The special growing background and environmental factors endow the ecology of Chinese classical dance with a unique development path and cultural connotation.At the same time,it is also necessary to know that various styles are coexisting in current Chinese classical dance.Each style is rooted in different levels of traditional Chinese culture and history and with different forms of individual expression.Therefore,in addition to the impact of globalization,we also need to reflect on how Chinese classical dance maintain its distinctive subjectivity under the double internal and external stimuli.More importantly,we need to constantly ask questions concerning subjectivity such as'who am I','where am I','whether to fully integrate with present times or to carry out contemporary expression by returning to the cultural tradition?
