A Brief Analysis on the Conflicting Descriptions of Life & Death in Lu Xun's Novels

文学是人学 ,任何一位作家都不可能回避人最根本的问题———生命的存在。伟大的作家常常通过写人物的死亡来表现人的生命意识。在鲁迅以现实生活为题材的小说中 ,有多篇写了主人公的死亡 ,鲁迅着力表现主人公死亡之前所进行的挣扎和斗争 ,写出了主人公留恋生命、抗拒死亡 ,从而批判了当时非人的社会生存环境 。

Literature involves in study on human beings. No writer can avoid such a fundamental issue of human beings—the existence of life. Great writers usually exhibit the life consciousness of human beings by wy of descriptions of people's death. In Lu Xun's novels, which adopt real life as their subjects, quite a few described the death of the protagonists. Trying to exhibit the protagonists' struggling and striving before death, Lu Xun expressed their yearn for life and resistance to death, thus criticized the miserable living environment at that time. It reflected the writer's passion on life and his pursuing for higher-level value of life.
