From Rebellion against the Common Customs to Fawning on the Conventions ——On Wei Hui's works

卫慧的小说创作 ,从最初刻意追求个性自由 ,在精神和艺术两方面颠覆和消解传统 ,到近期迎合世俗 ,放纵自我和欲望 ,满足当下社会大众文化“一次性”快餐需要 ,其间经历了由叛世向媚俗的转变蜕化过程。她的创作具有鲜明的女性私人化写作特征 ,给当下文学带来了新景观。但任何文学创作 ,都不应离开艺术良知。

Wei Hui's creation of novels has experienced great changes from rebellion against the common customs to fawning on the conventions——from intentionally seeking personal liberation , overturning and eliminating the tradition both in spirit and art at first, to recently wallowing in mire with the common customs and indulging in self and sexual desire, meeting the needs of “one-time” snack of the public culture at contemporary society. Her creation has a vivid writing style—characteristics of female privacy and brings a new scenery to contemporary literature. However, any literary creation should stick to the true conscience for art, literary morality and rational knowledge of the society.
