ON HSUNTZU'S POETRY CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF COFUCIAN'S THOUGHTS

孔子是儒家诗论的开派者 ,荀子是先秦儒家诗论的集大成者。两人都以宗法理论为诗歌理论的基础 ,以“礼”来规范和制约“人性” ,以道德评判来统摄审美 。

Confucius was the founder of the poetry theory of confucianism.Hsuntzn was the person who epitomized the thougth of this school in pre-Qin dynasty.Their peotry theories were both based on the patriarchal theory,in which human nature was restricted by the proprieties and virtue was judged by the morals.Obviously,the theoried can be traces to the same origin.
