Measurement of China's Special Economic Zones' Industrial Transformation Level and Its Growth Effects

产业转型是伴随经济增长过程的重要组成部分,理清产业结构与经济总量之间的关系就成为经济可持续增长的关键。在真实的经济发展场景中考察比较五个经济特区的增长与结构演变差异,从单要素和全要素生产率的角度对产业转型的增长效应进行分解,结果表明:产业转型的结构效应对经济增长的贡献呈递减趋势,长期的经济增长更加依赖产业内的技术进步;不同地区产业转型的结构效应在长期的演化方向大体一致,但演化路径却存在极大差异,可持续增长要求兼顾产业结构的合理化和高级化;产业转型根植于经济增长系统,两者互为因果而动态累积,可持续增长要求总量与结构的相互适应。

Industrial transformation is important in the economic growth process, which is the key for sustainable economic growth. We decomposed the growth effects of industrial transformation from the single of factor and total factor productivity point. The result shows us that： Structural effect which coming from industrial transformation showed a decreasing trend, and long-term economic growth depend more on technological advances within the industry; There is a big difference on the evolutionary path, and sustainable growth requires both the rationalization and advancement of the industrial structure; Industrial transformation is rooted in the economic growth system, and sustainable growth required a mutual adaptation of the total economy and structure.
