公有制为主体、多种所有制经济共同发展的基本经济制度,是中国特色社会主义制度的重要支柱,也是社会主义市场经济体制的根基。基本经济制度与传统社会主义单一公有制之间既有一定联系又有重大区别;基本经济制度与资本主义经济制度之间既有共同之处又有本质区别;以公有制为主体与多种所有制经济共同发展之间,存在着相互依存、相互促进、不可或缺、不可替代的辩证关系。

The basic economic system with the public ownership as the main body and the common development of a variety of ownership economy is the important pillar of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and is also the foundation of the socialist market economy system. There are both connections and great differences between the basic economic system and the traditional socialist unitary public ownership.
