The Connotation of Mechanism Explanation and Supplementary Approach in Systems Biology

摘要 系统生物学作为一个新兴的交叉学科,提出了生物学的一种新解释模式,仍称之为机械论解释。系统生物学的机械论解释与传统的机械论解释却不尽相同,具有自己的新内涵,既自下而上,从部分的行为建构动力学模型,又自上而下,通过控制论建模研究整体功能行为。本文力图对系统生物学的机械论解释进行分析,并提出用复杂适应系统的突现机制完善系统生物学的解释进路。 At the end of the last century, systems biology emerged as a new interdisciplinary subject. It proposed a new explanation mode of biology which attracted the attention of the academic community, however it is still called mechanism explanation.The mechanism explanation in systems biol-ogy which has a new connotation is different from the traditional mechanism explanation. That is to say, it not only built dynamic model with partial behavior from the bottom-up perspective, but also used cybernetics to construct the model to study the functional behavior of the whole from the topdown perspective. This paper tries to analyze the mechanism explanation in systems biology and use the emergence mechanism of Complex Adaptive Systems(CAS) to supplement the approach in systems biology.
