Objective To investigate clinical guiding significance and value by pulse oxygen saturation(Sp O_2) waveform in department of emergency and traumatology. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on 150 patients with respiratory distress syndrome in department of emergency and traumatology. Among them, there were 38 cases with mild hyoxemia(mild hyoxemia group), 64 cases with moderate hyoxemia(moderate hyoxemia group), and 48 cases with severe hyoxemia(severe hyoxemia group). All the groups received related treatment on the basis of Sp O_2 waveform changes, and their prognosis was compared. Results Survival rate was 92.1% in the mild hyoxemia group, 65.6% in the moderate hyoxemia group, and 52.1% in the severe hyoxemia group. The severe hyoxemia group had lower survival rate than the mild and moderate hyoxemia groups(P〈0.05). Conclusion Implement of Sp O_2 monitoring in department of emergency and traumatology can provide evidence for clinical treatment, along with remarkably clinical guiding significance.
