L ast year （2015） marked the 20th anniversary of the UN Fourth ＇World Conference on Women （held in Beijing in September1995）, during which then-Chinese President Jiang Zemin advanced China＇s basic State policy of gender equality. During the past year, the Guangyuan （a city in Southwest China＇s Siehuan Province） Working Committee on Children and Women, the working committees on children and women of counties and districts in Guangyuan, and the committees＇ member organizations did the following to promote gender equality：
