Power diffentials, national psychology, cultural mentality and elite attitude can account for the actual prejudice of the English world toward translations. The hardship that the modern Chinese literature has been suffering from the outward-going process since 1950 s mirrors the modernity anxiety and rejuvenation pressure of China. The overseas spread of Chinese literature,in the multicultural context, should strive to establish a market-oriented literary mechanism and take full account of the communication characteristics and translating / reading modes of the Internet era so as to implement a multifaceted cultural promotion strategy in terms of communication mechanism and text selection, which in turn elevates the international reputation of Chinese culture.
