摘要
翻译家林纾立足于中华文化与诗学传统,对流播到近代中国社会中的哈葛德小说进行创造性译介,通过儒家伦理的凸显、佛道思想对基督教义的置换、审美精神的本土观照进行文化精神的中国化建构,以及雅俗语言的运用、传统古典文学叙事艺术的承继、文化意象的本土化重构完成文学规范的中国化改造,使哈氏小说发生了深层次的文学变异,成功实现中国化,生成了具有文学与中国文化特质的经典。林译哈葛德小说的近代中国化是文学"他国化"的典型个案,对当下我国外国文学的引进,文学与文化资源的繁荣乃至文化软实力的构建,具有重要启示意义。
Lin Shu, the great translator, creatively translated Herny Rider Haggard' s novels spreading in the modem Chinese society. This process was based on Chinese culture and the indigenous poetic tradition. Through the foregrounding of Confucius ethics, the replacement for Christian doctrines with Buddhism and Daoism, the native projection of aesthetic spirit, he restructured Chinese cultural spirit. So did he complete the Chinalized transformation of literary regulation through the old Chinese linguistic style, the adoption of the Chinese narrative model and the reconstruction of Chinese cultural images. All these contributed to the profound literary variations in Haggard' s novels and his success in its Chinalization, formulating the modem Chinese classic with Chinese cultural and literary qualities. The modem Chinalization of Lin Shu' s translation of Haggard' s Novels is aclassic case of Nationalism of Literature, providing a ature to China, prospering Chinese literary and significant instruction to the present introduction of foreign litercultural resources and further structuring Chinese culture soft power.
