摘要
磁粉检测法可以检测表面和近表面的缺陷,但每种检测方法对近表面缺陷的检测深度是不一样的。美国ASME(美国机械工程师学会)规范明确规定,磁轭只能检测表面开口的缺陷。由此可见,这种方法对于近表面缺陷的检出能力是相当有限的。通过试验研究,证实了这种观点的正确性。
Magnetic testing may detect surface and subsurface defects.The detectable depth of each method is different.According to ASME Code,yoke technique shall only be applied to detect discontinuities that are open to the surface of the part.That is to say,this method has limited ability to detect subsurface defects.This article demonstrated this point of view by examination.
