中西小说的悲剧意识比较——以《献给爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》与《另一种妇女生活》为例

Comparison of Tragedy Consciousness between Chinese and Western Novel——a case study of A Rose for Emily and Another Sort of Woman's Life

《献给爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》和《另一种妇女生活》分别是美国南方代表作家福克纳和先锋派代表作家苏童对女性的解读。笔者从中西小说的悲剧意识这一角度对这两部作品做了比较研究,分析了中西小说悲剧意识的异同后发现:其相同点为中西悲剧意识本质内涵相同、悲剧人物性格缺陷相同和悲剧性结局相同;不同点为冲突根源不同和冲突处理不同。对读者理解中西小说女性悲剧以及中西小说悲剧意识的异同有一定的指导作用。

A Rose for Emilyand Another Sort of Woman＇s Life are respectively decoding about women by Faulkner,the representative of American South writers,and Su Tong,the representative of avantgarde writers.There are lots of researches about these two novels nowadays.This thesis compares and analyses the two works from the perspective of Chinese tragedy consciousness and western tragedy consciousness.The results reveal that：the similarities are in the essence of tragedy consciousness,defects in tragedy characters and tragic endings;the differences are in the origin of conflicts and the way of dealing with conflicts.This thesis concludes the similarities and differences of these two novels on the base of precious researches,which is helpful for readers in understanding tragedy of women and tragedy consciousness in Chinese and western novels.
