On the Gothic Church and Secular Donations in the Middle Ages

哥特式教堂是欧洲中世纪的标志性建筑。它兴起于12世纪的法国，直到文艺复兴时代没落。哥特式以其夸张华丽的建筑风格，影响了西欧社会长达三百余年。在欧洲中世纪的历史进程中，哥特式教堂无疑占有重要的地位。在哥特式教堂的修建过程中，来自世俗社会的资助起到至关重要的作用。通过对哥特式教堂与世俗资助的探究，可以从一个侧面反映出中世纪基督教会与世俗社会的关系。

The gothic church was the landmark of the Middle Ages, which appeared in 12th century in France. Until the period of the Renaissance, the gothic church was playing an important role in the course of Middle Ages. The exaggerating and magnificent architectural style of gothic architectures had influenced the Western Europe for more than 300 years. As secular donation played a vital role in the building of gothic churches, this essay aims to study the relation between Christianity and the secular society by the study of the gothic churches and secular donations.
