Trying to Explain ＂Zhao Gong＂

论文分析了关于明公簋＂[口卜]工＂的已有说法,如优功说、人名说、地名说、大功说等,均有可以商榷之处。论文认为＂田工＂应与《诗经》及金文中常见的＂戎工＂结构类似,表示卜兆之功。与此类似,鸣士卿尊的＂[口卜]工＂、京师畯尊的＂[口卜]工＂分别表示裸祭时的营酒之功和获大兕之功。

The paper analyzes the main viewpoints of ＂Zhao Gong＂ on Minggong Gui,people have different ideas about what they stand for,such as excellent merits,people＇s name,the name of some places and great merits.However,these viewpoints are all questionable.This paper thinks that ＂Zhao Gong＂ should have the same structures as ＂Military Exploi＂ always seen in The Book of Songs and the bronze text,which represents the merits of divination.Similarly,the ＂■工＂ on Mingshiqing Zun and the ＂■工＂ on Jingshijun Zun stands for the merit of filter liquor and hunting in the sacrifice activity respectively.
