Interpretation of ＂Chan（■）”

本文通过字形和字音两方面的综合分析,指出见于清华楚简中的＂■＂就是＂■＂字的象形本字。同时通过文本对应关系,指出今本《诗·周颂·敬之》之＂不聪＂以及清华楚简之＂不■＂均当读作＂不僭＂,义同＂不差＂。

After a comprehensive analysis on the two sides of font style and pronunciation,it was pointed out that the character ＂■＂ which was written in Tsinghua Chu Bamboo Slips（清华楚简） is the pictograph original word of the character ＂chan（毚）＂.And through the corresponding relation of texts,it was pointed out that ＂Bucong＂（不聪） which was written in Jingzhi of Zhousong of Shijing and ＂Buchan＂（不■） which was written in Tsinghua Chu Bamboo Slips should be pronounced as ＂Bujian＂（不僭）,the meaning is ＂Bucha＂（不差）.
