摘要
高校分类是世界高等教育发展进入后大众化时期的共性问题。借鉴国际高等教育分类理论与实践,以知识生产模式转型理论和大学生学习风格类型理论为基础,本文提出了兼顾实然与应然、普通教育与职业教育的高校分类"四象限"模型。该模型以一所高校在传统文理或工程技术学科上的侧重点为维度一,在基础研究或传播应用上的侧重点为维度二,将高校划分为理论研究型、应用研究型、应用教学型和理论教学型四个基本类型。
University classification was an imperative in higher education development while entering the post--massification period. By the lights of the theory and practice of in- ternational university classifieaiton, based on the knowledge production mode transformation theory and college students" learning style theory, the four-quadrants model was proposed combining the realistic and the ideal, and unifying general education and vocational educa- tion. According to two dimensions, the model divided higher education institutions into such four basic categories as theoretical research, applied research, theoretical teaching and ap- plied teaching, one dimension emphasizing either on liberal arts or technical training, the other emphasizing either on basic research or knowledge distribution.
