Returning to the Folk and Going toward the World: Contemporary Mission of Development and Spread of Chinese Medicine Culture

通过对中医文化中所蕴涵的自然观、认识论与方法论的深入探讨,揭示在当代世界语境下中医文化回归民间走向世界的传播使命。从文化自觉的角度,详细分析中医文化回归民间走向世界的现实基础,包括中医药学是一种系统先进的生命科学认知体系已逐渐成共识、中医药在推进中国经济社会建设与文化发展中发挥了重要作用、当代中国政府高度重视中医药事业的发展、崇尚自然传统的价值回归已在世界范围显现,其路径选择包括要加强中医文化核心价值体系及其现代转型的理论研究、要汲取现代科学及西医学的思想方法以取长补短、国家应把扶持和大力发展中医药作为重要发展战略、应加强中医学海外传播跨文化的研究和推广应用。中医文化的发展传播对于中国优秀传统文化的传承、创新及中国文化国际化具有重要意义和价值。

Based on the in-depth analysis of ecologic concept, epistemology and methodology contained in Chinese medicine culture, the article tries to reveal Chinese medicine cultural transmission mission of returning to the folk and going toward to the world in the context of contemporary world. From the perspective of cultural conscious- ness, the article offers the detailed analysis of the realistic foundation of Chinese medicine in returning to the folk going toward the world, which includes the increasing consensus on Chinese medicine being an advanced life sciences cognitive system, the important role of Chinese medicine in promoting Chinese economic and social construction and cultural development, the Chinese government paying great attention to the development of Chinese medicine, as well as respecting nature ＆ tradition becoming popular in the world. The methods to do this include to strengthen theoreti- cal research on Chinese medicine culture core value system and its modern transformation, to learn modern science including western medicine ideology and methodology to enrich Chinese medicine, to consider supporting and develo- ping Chinese medicine as an important development strategy for the government, and to strengthen cross-cultural research and application for Chinese medicine oversea spreading. The development and transmission of Chinese medi- cine culture is of great significance and value for Chinese excellent traditional culture inheritance, innovation and internationalization of Chinese culture.
