The target price system is a significant change of our country＇s agricultural products price formation mechanism and pig subsidy policy, but also a big challenge. On the base of introducing the background of the pig target price system and discussing its practical significance, This paper points out that the implementation of pig target price system faces with the following problems： the difficulty of determining the reasonable target price, the difficulty of determining the subsidy method, the diffi- culty of determining the specific subsidies and the difficulty of farmers＇ production decision. Aiming at the difficulties of implementing the pig price system, the paper will explore relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
