A New Step of Chinese Higher Education from Large to Strong

2010年7月,《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要(2010—2020年)》颁布实施。5年间,高等教育在适应全面建设小康社会、建设创新型国家和人力资源强国的需要中,坚持以育人为本,以改革为动力,以提高质量为核心,走内涵发展道路,在满足人民群众对优质高等教育的期盼中持续提高人才培养质量,在迎接新科技革命中提升科学研究水平,在聚焦国家经济社会发展重大需求中增强社会服务能力,在大国外交格局中创新高等教育国际交流合作,迈出了由大向强的新步伐。

National Medium-and Long-Term Plan for Education Reform and Development has been promulgated and implemented since July 2010. During the five years, Chinese higher education has improving talents training quality to satisfy the needs that building a well-off society, an innovation-oriented country and a powerful nation, and to meet the citizens’ demands of high-quality higher education. Higher education has advancing the quality on the basis of people-oriented education, reform power, and quality improvement center.Chinese higher education has taken a new step in which improving science research level in new revolution of science and technology, strengthening social service capacity in the social and economic development and innovating higher education international exchange and cooperation in the pattern of great-power diplomacy.
