Expression of EVL gene in breast cancer and its clinical significance

摘要 目的研究EVL基因在乳腺癌组织中的表达及意义。方法通过随机的方法选取2010年1月-2014年12月在该院乳腺科接受治疗的4种不同乳腺癌亚型病例各15例,同期选取乳腺良性腺病疾病患者20例为对照组,应用免疫组织化学的方法检测乳腺癌组织中EVL蛋白的表达。结果与对照组相比,EVL蛋白在乳腺癌中表达增加,但差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05)。EVL蛋白在激素受体阳性乳腺癌组的表达明显高于激素受体阴性乳腺癌组,差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05);EVL蛋白在对照组中的表达高于激素受体阴性乳腺癌组,差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05),但低于激素受体阳性乳腺癌组,差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05)。乳腺癌分子亚型Luminal A型、Luminal B型、HER2高表达型和三阴性型组织中EVL蛋白表达呈递减性。EVL蛋白在乳腺癌组织中的表达与病理分级无关(P〉0.05);EVL蛋白在淋巴结转移及临床Ⅲ~Ⅳ期的乳腺癌组织中的表达明显高于无淋巴结转移及临床Ⅰ~Ⅱ期的乳腺癌(P〈0.05)。结论 EVL蛋白在激素受体阳性的乳腺癌亚型中高表达,激素受体阴性的乳腺癌亚型中低表达。EVL蛋白低表达可能与预后不良有关,有可能成为治疗乳腺癌的一个靶点。 Objective To research the expression and significance of EVL gene in breast cancer. Methods Sixty breast cancer cases of four subtypes treated in Department of Breast in the hospital from January 2010 to December 2014 were selected as study group randomly, 15 cases in each subtype group. Twenty cases with benign breast diseases were selected as control group during the same period. Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of EVL protein in the two groups. Results Compared with control group, EVL protein expression in study group was higher, but there was no statistically significant difference (P〉0. 05 ) . The expression of EVL protein among cases with positive hormone receptor in study group was statistically significantly higher than that among the cases with negative hormone receptor in study group ( P〈0. 05 ) ; the expression of EVL protein in control group was statistically significantly higher than that among the eases with negative hormone receptor in study group ( P〈0. 05 ) , but it was statistically significantly lower than that among the cases with positive hormone receptor in study group ( P〈0. 05 ) . The expression levels of EVL protein in breast cancer of Luminal A subtype, Luminal B subtype, HER2 high-expression subtype, and triple negative subtype decreased progressively. The expression of EVL protein in breast canc- er was not correlated with pathological grading ( P〉0. 05 ) ; the expression of EVL protein in breast cancer cases with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage Ⅲ- Ⅳ were statistically significantly higher than those in breast cancer cases without lymph node metastasis and clinical stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (P〈0. 05 ) . Conclusion The expression of EVL protein in breast cancer cases with positive hormone receptor was high, while the expression of EVL protein in breast cancer cases with negative hormone receptor was low. Low expression of EVL protein may be correlated with adverse prognosis, which may become to be a new target for treatment of breast cancer.
