在经济全球化背景下,以西方文化为主导的现代设计对全球产品设计产生了重要影响,甚至表现出唯西方设计为尊的趋势。那么,在全球文化特别是以西方文化为主导的发展背景下,如何保持本土文化特色,从而实现文化的多元发展,依然是当代设计文化研究和实践要面对的重要问题。印刷书籍是文化传播的重要载体,图书装帧设计具有鲜明的文化意蕴,是传达表现本土文化的重要手段。就当代图书设计发展看,中国台湾的图书设计风格,体现了明确的中国传统文化特色,能够充分展现和传承中国传统文化的内涵意义,具有明显的传统与现代特色,为如何形成具有中国文化意义内涵的当代"中国设计"提供了有益的探索。

It also inherits the connotation of Chinese traditional culture. Therefore, Taiwan＇s book design has formed distinct features, providing beneficial exploration for the formation of contemporary ＂Chinese Design＂ with Chinese cultural connotation.
