During the period of ship market downturns,the ship construction cost control becomes the main means of the major shipping companies for survival.The 70% of ship construction costs is determined at the design stage.Through interviews,the paper introduces key points of main task and cost control in design stages of S company,understanding of cost control problem during design stage.From aspects of perfect design optimization,personnel training and assessment,it is summarized six improvement measures in order to achieve greater efficiency through cost control in design stage.
