“跨专业互助学习模式”对英语专业学生英语能力的影响

摘要 随着经济全球化的进程加快,英语对经济发展的推动作用越来越重要。英语专业学生面临着更多的机遇和挑战,这就促使了英语教师、学者不断地进行教学改革来测试其是否对英语教学有益。教学方法的改革体现在很多方面。跨专业学生互助学习模式被创造性地引用到英语专业学生自主学习过程中,由英语专业学生深入到大学英语课堂,指导非英语专业学生学习英语。此模式旨在让英语专业学生把"学"转变成"教",促使他们学习更多的英语文化知识,提高自身的英语水平。本文先简要地介绍了互助学习的理论基础及在国内外的运用情况,以红河学院英语专业学生为例,论述了"跨专业互助学习模式"对其英语能力的影响,用统计软件SPSS 17.0对案例进行实验、分析、研究,最后得出结论,此模式弥补了传统学习模式的不足,充分发挥了学生的主观能动性,真正做到了"以学生为中心",并能有效地提高英语专业学生的学习能力。 With the gradual expansion of economic globalization, English plays a more and more important role in promoting economic development. English major students are faced with more opportunities and challenges, which prompt that English teachers are constantly developing some teaching reform to test whether it is beneficial to English teaching or not. The reform of teaching methods for English majors is reflected in many aspects. "Cross-Majors Cooperative Learning Mode"is created and introduced to English Majors' autonomous learning process, which refers to that some English majors go into college English class to assist non-English majors to learn English. The aim of this learning mode is to make English majors transfer "learning"into"teaching", and to push them to study much more English culture and knowledge, in order to improve their English abilities. This paper briefly introduces theoretical basis of this learning mode and its application at home and abroad. Based on Honghe University, it tries to explain how this learning mode applies into college English teaching, and how it influences English majors' English skills. After doing a series of experiments, analysis, and researches on the cases through SPSS 17.0, this paper draws a conclusion which "Cross-Majors Cooperative Learning Mode"can make up the deficiency of the traditional learning style, give full play to students' subjective initiative to be "Students-Centered", and is also an effective teaching method which can assist English majors to improve their English abilities.
