二战前后英国对外英语教学发展的研究及启示

Study and Enlightenment on the Development of TESOL in Britain around World War Ⅱ

英国对外英语教学理论和方法的发展与当时的社会背景是密不可分的,特别是在二战前后,由于战争和移民等原因,特别是文化委员会成立之后,英国政府对于对外英语教学愈发重视。对外英语教学以此为契机,在英国快速发展起来。以英国对外英语教学经验为参考,我国的对外汉语教学发展过程中,也应抓住现有契机,加速发展。

The development of TESOL （Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages） theory and practice in Britainwas closely related to social background then. Around World War II, owing to the war and immigrants, and especially thefoundation ofBritish Council, British government began to attach increasing importance to TESOL. Thus, the developmentof TESOL was enhanced in Britain. The TESOL in Britain provided experience for reference to the progress of TCFL （Tea-ching Chinese as a Foreign Language）, which will be accelerated with current opportunities.
