主位推进模式下《简·爱》两译本语篇连贯性对比研究

A Contrast Study of the Discourse Coherence in Two Versions of Translation of Jane Eyre from Thematic Progression Perspective

本文从Danes的延续型、平行型和派生型三种主要的主位推进模式出发,对《简·爱》的李霁野译本和黄源深译本的语篇连贯性进行了深入的对比研究,探讨了翻译实践中遵循主位推进模式对构建语言流畅、逻辑连贯的译文上所起的作用,即在语篇翻译中,译者应该在充分理解原文的基础上,依据目的语的语言特点适当进行句式结构的调整,尽量使译文语篇遵循主位推进模式,才能译出逻辑清晰、语言连贯的译文;否则过度忠实于原文结构、无视主位推进模式进行翻译,势必会影响译文的连贯效果。

Based on the contrast of discourse coherence of Li Jiye＇s and Huang Yuanshen＇s translated versions of Jane Eyre,the present paper mainly discusses how much the thematic progression＇s applying means for achieving agood translation with smooth language and logical coherence in discourse from the perspective of Danes＇ thematic progression theory,including the continuous thematic progression pattern,the linear theme progression,and the derived theme pattern.It is concluded that translator should deeply understand the meaning of the discourse at first,and then properly adjust the sentence structure according to the features of the target language,making the translated works follow the various patterns of thematic progression,so as to attain the coherence in discourse.Otherwise,if the translation is over bounded by the original structure,ignoring the pattern of thematic progression in translation,it is bound to lead to some disrupting and illogic problems in discourse coherence.
