On Business English Writing from Perspective of Schema Theory

商务英语写作要求学生熟练记忆各种商务主题所需的专业词汇、表达方式以及句型,掌握各种商务信函的格式,并能有条理地组织商务信息,建立有效的商务沟通。以图式理论为基础,将语言图式与用词造句,到内容图式与内容构建,再到形式图式与谋篇布局,运用于商务英语写作中,达到提升学生商务英语写作能力的目的。

Schema, which refers to the pre-existent knowledge or background knowledge, is the knowledge about the world stored in the human brain. Based on schema theory, this essay, from the perspective of linguistic schema, content schema and formal schema, probes into how this theory can be applied to in terms of diction, content and outline respectively, with an aim to explain the cognitive mechanism of the process of business English writing.
