字的世相——谈梅国云“笔外意象”

A Talk on Mei Guoyun's "Images beyond the Pen"

近年来,军旅作家梅国云进行了一系列基于中国笔墨艺术、以字词为对象的跨界创作,网友们称其为"笔外意象"。这些作品被许多人在网上观看、喜爱和点评,点击量极巨。除了作品,这种具有事件性的艺术行为本身也非常富有意味。"笔外意象"创作在大宗上属于中国的文人画传统,但在精神上更接近相通于"五四"以来现代人文知识分子所提倡的"人生艺术化"之现代传统,关注人生世相,富于人间的情味。到目前为止,"笔外意象"的作品已经有两百余幅,它们合起来几乎就是一本当代中国的生活、历史、文化思想和情感的"世相词典"。

In recent years,the army writer Mei Guoyun has turned out a series of cross-discipline works based on Chinese painting techniques and with words as their object,referred to as ＂ images beyond the pen＂ by netizens.Those works have been read,appreciated and commented by numerous netizens,thus having enjoyed a large readership. In addition to the works themselves,noticeable artistic behavior of this type is also rather meaningful.While they belong to the tradition of Chinese literati paintings in the bulk,writings of ＂ images beyond the pen＂ are closer in spirit to the modern tradition of ＂ artistic life＂ advocated by modern humanistic intellectuals since the ＂May 4th Movement＂,that is,a great concern with human life and worldly affairs and the full representation of human sentiments. Up till now,works of ＂ images beyond the pen＂ have amounted to 200-odd pieces,which is,when put together,almost a ＂ dynamic dictionary＂ of life,history,cultural ideas and emotions in contemporary China.
