文章回顾了新疆双语教育的发展历程,总结了新疆双语教育所取得的成就,分析了制约新疆双语教育发展的教师问题和教材问题,提出在新时期,新疆双语教育的发展不能满足新疆社会跨越式发展需求,仍需与时俱进,为新疆社会的跨越式发展培养出更多的双语人才的设想。

This article reviews the history of Xinjiang bilingual education development. It summarises the achievement of Xinjiang bilingual education. It analyses the teacher professional development issue and teaching material issue as barriers in the development of Xinjiang bilingual education. It contends that contemporary Xinjiang bilingual education keeps pace with the social development although it cannot meet the needs of Xinjiang's social development in leaps and bounds. It proposes the plan to educate more bilingual talents for Xinjiang's social development in leaps and bounds.
