摘要
民族的融合始终伴随着文化的建构。在20世纪初的中国文化通史性著作中,颇为重视对民族融合与文化建构关系的讨论。在民族与文化的构成上,强调中国民族与文化构成的复杂性,主张"文化不以种族而分"。在民族融合与文化建构上,肯定中原汉族文化的向心力和同化力,强调民族融合对于文化建构的重要性,而且认为中国文化是一个不断发展的有机体,不因民族冲突和政权更迭而发生变异。同时十分重视以印度文化和西方文化为主的外来文化对中国文化的影响。这些观点既是传统史学近代转型过程中形成的民族文化新认知,同时也是近代民族国家观念的重要体现。
National Amalgamation is always accompanied by the construction of culture. Books of Chinese culture and history in the early 20 th century, attached more importance to the discussion on the relationship between integration and cultural construction. On the composition of the nationality and the culture, they emphasized the complexity of the Chinese nation and culture constitute and advocated that culture is not on the basis of race. On the national Amalgamation and cultural construction, they affirmed the centripetal force and assimilatory power of the Han nationality culture,emphasized the importance of integration for the cultural construction and believed that Chinese culture is a growing organism, not for the ethnic conflicts and regime changes and mutates. At the same time, they attached great importance to the impact of Indian culture and Western culture as the main foreign culture on Chinese culture.The se views are not only a new cognitive of national culture formed in the process of modern transformation of traditional historiography, but also the important embodiment of the modern nation-state ideas.
