As the famous novels in Middle Ming Dynasty,The Romance of Three Kingdoms and The Water Margin create lots of distinctive female images, and open a new era of the secularization of novels. By comparing the two novels,it is found the secularizing trend turns from symbolic Diaochan to independent PAN Jin-lian. In contrast with the portraying of Diaochan, the authors of The Water Margin made the female images of PAN Jin-lian more complicated. These new changes can be viewed as a sign of secularizing trend in Middle Ming Dynasty.
