The association pattern of the verb BIANin the corpus shows that the basic semantic feature of the verb BIANis [-control],which produces its main uses in the corpus.While by using the words of RANG,SHIand BA,the verb BIANhas developed the semantic feature of[＋control],which produces the secondary uses.The basic characteristics of syntactic-semantic associations of the verb BIAN reflect the basic characteristics of monosyllable verbs,which lays the foundation of the systematic examination on syntactic-semantic associations of monosyllable verbs.
