形式主义是工具理性观念影响下形成的行为模式。从社会学角度认识形式主义,为根除官场上的形式主义提供了一个新的理论武器。我们可以运用社会角色理论、拟剧理论、社会文化理论、社会制度理论和社会政策理论等几个方面分析形式主义的产生及其表现。形式主义的社会危害包括阻碍社会的创新与发展、浪费社会资源、恶化社会风气、破坏社会整合等。所以,从社会学角度看,破除形式主义就必须加强诚信文化建设、规范社会角色行为、完善社会制度和优化社会环境等。

Formalism is the behavior pattern influenced by the concept of instrumental rationality. Understanding formalism from the sociological view point can provides a new theoretical weapon in order to eradicate the bureaucratic formalism. Social role theory,dramaturgical perspective,social culture theory,theory of social institution and social policy can be used to analysis production and performance of formalism. The social harm of formalism includes hinder innovation and the development of society、waste of social resources、deterioration of social values,undermine social integration etc. So,from a sociological point of view,in order to get rid of formalism,we must strengthen the integrity of culture、standardize social role behavior、improve the social system and optimize the social environment.
