On Mao Zedong's Theory of Setbacks and Its Realistic Inspirations

在长期的革命斗争和社会主义建设过程中,毛泽东历经了许多困难和挫折。毛泽东提出了人生遭遇挫折不可避免,挫折与成功相反相成,要把挫折看成一种有益的教育等重要论断,形成关于挫折的"存在必然论""功效价值论"和"应对态度论"。重温毛泽东的挫折观,有助于人们正确对待工作生活中的困难和挫折;有助于共产党人坚定理想信念,为实现中华民族复兴中国梦而不懈奋斗。

In the long term of modern Chinese revolution and socialist construction, Mao Zedong had been confronted with many hardships and setbacks. He had put forward important ideas on setbacks that en- countering setbacks is inevitable, setbacks and success often accompany each other, and it is very necessary to look on setbacks as opportunities to obtain experience. Thus there appeared Mao Zedong＇ s theory of setbacks being inevitable, their significance and values, and how to deal with them. Reviewing Mao Zedong＇ s theory of setbacks, this paper points out that it is helpful for us to confront hardships and setbacks with a correct viewpoint, and it is helpful for Chinese communists to fortify their ideals and convictions when striving for realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
