大学英语教育一直以传授英语语言知识和导入英语文化为主要任务,其实它还肩负着一项更为艰巨的使命,即传承和传播中国文化。中国文化的传承和传播不仅仅是汉语文化界的职责,大学英语教育也肩负此使命。大学英语教育中东西文化的碰撞和对比能引领学生发掘中国文化的优越之处从而更好地传承中国文化,英语话中话的语言能力有助于学生高效地向世界传播中国文化。

The major task of the College English education has imparted the language of English with its knowledge and culture,however, it should take another more important mission, that is the inheritance and dissemination of Chinese culture, which is notonly the function of Chinese education but also the task of English education. The collision and contrast of the eastern and western cultm＇e in the College English education can direct students to find out the advantages of Chinese culture and help them to better inherit Chinese culture and the improvement of English learning can help students to more efficiently disseminate Chinese culture.
