摘要
文盨铭文记载了周宣王殷见南邦诸侯的礼典,表现了恩威并施的礼义:行礼之前,天子遣人深入南土,率领南邦诸侯来见天子,不同寻常的礼仪反映了怀柔南邦诸侯的良苦用心;南邦诸侯至成周,天子以君道临于内朝,南邦诸侯执臣道朝见天子,反映了以朝礼严君臣之界、明君臣之义;朝礼既毕,天子又在畿外殷见南邦诸侯,以神道设教,申明尊尊之义,教导南邦诸侯尊崇天子。
The epigraph recorded the ceremony held when King Xuan of Zhou Dynasty called in the seigneurs of south, showed the meaning that contains both kindness and stateliness： before the ceremony, the king designated emissaries to go to south and bring them to the king, this unusual etiquette showed king＇s nice heart to conciliate the south eigneurs. The seigneurs went to Luoyang to pay a formal visit to the king by the way of a minister while the monarch descended to meet them in the inner court. These all showed the limit between the monarch anti his subjects. After the ceremony, the king met them outside the state again, setting up the teaching by the spirit path, claiming the meaning of respecting the honorable and senior, telling the seigneurs to venerate the king.
