This paper analyzed the ethical predicaments confronted by mental health social workers, such as confidentiality, informed consent and self - determination. It pointed out that social workers should guide by the principles of protecting life, patient interest priority and humanitarianism, and make decisions conform to moral and the subjects＇ interests.
