Investigation of the Situation of Hospice Care in Shanghai

目的通过对医疗机构临终关怀服务一般情况及从业人员对临终关怀的认知的调查,研究上海市临终关怀事业的现状,并从医疗机构及从业人员的角度,探索我国临终关怀事业发展的瓶颈,提出相应建议。方法抽取上海市4所已开展临终关怀服务的医疗机构进行实地考察,并对这4所机构中临终关怀服务的从业人员进行问卷调查和个人深入访谈。结果我国临终关怀事业仍处于起步阶段,存在从业人员数量不足,年轻力量缺乏,专业素质偏低,团队构建不完善等问题,国家政策和社会环境也有待改善。结论合理加大资金投入,加强公众死亡教育,加快构建高素质专业综合团队,逐步发展具有中国特色及本土化特点的临终关怀服务。

Objective： Based on the survey of general situation of hospice care and cognitive toward care of the professionals, this research analyzed the current situation of hospice care in Shanghai; tried to hospice find out the bottleneck of the development of hospice care and gave some suggestions in the view of the attitude of the medi- cal institutions and practitioners. Methods ： This research selected 4 medical institutions that had provided hospice care service in Shanghai as the objects for field investigate, and some practitioners were recruited for questionnaire survey and deep interview. Results： Hospice care in China is still in the initial stage. Thus, there existed many problems including personnel deficiency, young professional lack, low professional quality and poor -functioning team, and etc. The national policy and social environment also need to be improved for the development of hospice care. Conclusion： It is necessary to invest more reasonably, carry out the public death education, accelerate the construction of comprehensive high - quality professional and integrated team, and develop hospice care with Chi- nese characteristics and localization features gradually.
